It doesn't look like much interest on a group buy to me. In my search for 2245s, I ran across a guy that has a decent supply of old stock AR7S (looks like 60s box to me) that I can buy fairly cheaply. If anyone is interested, I could possibly buy and sell them a LOT cheaper than current online prices. I'll check into a large purchase (the more I but, the cheaper they are) if there is enough interest. For obvious reasons, I don't want to reveal the source. Also, what does the AR8S fit? _________________ Matt

Oh, ok - thanks Wes. I went to another guy the other day on a parts run and he had a couple dozen of them sitting on a shelf with some larger plugs for tractors. _________________ Matt

The AR8S is NOT a replacement for the 2245. The AR7S is a replacement plug for the Jeep. I have a place that I can buy the AR7S plugs. I will be placing an order in a few weeks - let me know if you want some. _________________ Matt

Matt, The next time you visit that parts store take a 2245 with you and take a photo of the 2245 and 2246 alongside each other for me. _________________ Wes K

Will do Wes. He's an 87yo man that has been collecting military parts and tractor stuff for 60yrs. In rough shape, so I'm trying to go there every chance I get - all he has is a nephew that has no interest in military stuff. I'm sure he'll scrap everything he can't sell quickly when the old man dies! _________________ Matt

Wes
I have been following this thread eagerly, hoping that I will find an equevalent for my civilised F134, but with no success.
Can you recommend a spark plug for civilian cables?
For the moment my engine carries NGK BP5S plugs, but I am not sure they are suitable for this engine.
I have talked with a marketing person at autolite also and he basically said the same thing. He is going to have some conversations with engineering about this issue in a few weeks and said he would get back to me on any chance of a short run of production. He wasn't optimistic however as it would mean "thousands" of plugs needing to be made, even if they still had the parts. He stated that there has not been any sales of this plug for 2 years. I also notified the MVPA about this in hopes that they may have some advice or suggestions. They said that they will look into it. _________________ Gary Keating

Seems I missed a few posts here for some reason. So far, I have David and Ralph and myself that are wanting plugs. These are the Motorcraft AR7S version of the Autolite 2245.
I'll call on Monday to get a quote. Last chance for anyone else to get in. Fingers crossed that he hasn't sold them already! _________________ Matt
