Unfortunately, have some rather large paint chips coming off .... especially underneath. Almost seems like it wasn't primed properly.
Still happy though. It would be nice to have some service history to go along with the usual questions that are asked. I should make one up to go along with the "bullet" looking holes on the passenger side that were repaired.

Haven't been able to find the diameter of fuel line the M38 was supposed to have..... just replaced a rubber section between two stainless lines and it was 3/16" isn't that a little small?
All the tubing dimensions are right there in the parts manual. Start with pages 81 to 83 in the ORD 9 SNL G-740 M38 Parts Manual. If you haven't bought a paper copy then download the free PDF copy on our downloads page.
The books are free here and usually priced reasonable on the open market. I suggest the same to all restorers, "If you do not have the appropriate manual on the fender you are not doing it right!"
Just in case I missed you when you joined I have emailed you a copy of our M38 manual list and a copy of our M38 survey form.
Just sent you the worksheet for data collection on M38. Actually found the serial number already in your database without any other information.
Had a question regarding the Title from PA that had a number listed as VIN. Cannot find it anywhere on Jeep! Any idea how they came up with this number when they should have used serial number? Provided both numbers on worksheet.
I also was interested in purchasing the book by Miller "M38 Reference Guide". I posted under the thread, but was curious if you knew any were left.
What is the date of the PA Title? EV697348 could have evolved from an older practice of registering vehicles by their engine serials instead of their body/chassis serials. Many states did this up through the 60's. Ryan's book is available at several military jeep parts dealers. Or you can email him. _________________ Wes K
