Hello there,

I have a problem with my Carter YS carburator on my M38A1 jeep.

The symptoms are that the engine will not idle properly and it will loose a stroke every few seconds. I have narrowed down the probelm to the low speed cirquit of the carb.

Any ideas, things that I should check ?

First off let's verify you have a Carter YS950S?

Second have you checked all the mechanical components for their condition and confirmed they are the correct parts? Have you confirmed there is no blockage of any passageway, orifice or jet?

Now are the settings correct?
