|
|
Hi Guys,
Does anyone have a good clear pic of the where the horn and fender BO light ground wires are attached? I found one pic in one of the TMs, but it's very grainy and black and white........so I can't make out where exactly the ground wires are screwed to the body. I also need to know how much longer the #25 wire to the horn is than the wire to the BO light, as that wire got tore off the harness I'm using as a pattern..........so I'm hoping to see that as well in a pic.
Wes, I went thru a lot of your pics and didn't find a pic of what I'm looking for.......but I did nod off after a few hundred pics....so it could be in there.
thanks,

Ah.........good point. I was getting tired of doing that anyway. Ok, done.
Now about that pic......it's a little better, but I still can't tell where the grounds for both the horn and light are attached to the body. Are they on the same screw/bolt.......maybe one of the horn mount bolts to the inner fender? I can post a pic of what I've got on mine and maybe you can tell me if it's correct.
thanks,

Hmmmm...........guess I misunderstood. I added that info into my profile under my signature in the extra info box....but that didn't work. Let me try putting it in the actual signature box.

The ground for both my horn and BO light are fastened to the same screw right in front of the horn (near the point of the middle arrow of the photo Wes used).
The length of wire #19 is 64" and wire #25 is 37".

Kendall,
Thanks for that info. Here's what I have. Sounds like what you describe except for my cheapo auto style ring terminals. Seems weird that they would have used a separate screw for the grounds when they could have fastened them both to one of the horn mount bolts. But what do I know?
And I don't want to hear anyone making fun of my white zip cord wiring used for the BO light. I bought it that way.........and I've heard it's a very rare NATO option.........and it's just one of many "unique" attributes of my new ride.......so no snide remarks please. I know you're all jealous.
Regards,
bob
