Idaho DMV will no longer Title Military Vehicles newer than 1967

They do not have FMVSS stickers !!! if yours is titled now you are OK.

No others will be titled in the state of Idaho even if you have a form 97 !!

Alex

Idaho Motor Pool

I know other states are experiencing this as well. Rick.

Have you contacted your local MVPA club? We banded together in Kansas when we went through a similar episode back in 2004.

I don't understand how a bureaucrat in a government office can make these kinds of decisions on their own.

Wes can fill your head with Wisconsin's episode! They gained ground, but from what I remember it was not total victory. I own a '71 Deuce and hope SD doesn't try. They already dropped inspections to enable getting a title. Now you have to have a Bill of Sale, pay for number investigations to see if stolen, and save all rebuilding receipts and then pay 4 % sales tax on the total amount, plus titling fees and license plates. Approved for Highway use federal stickers on the door jambs were never issued to military vehicles. How they pick a year to get irritating is a mystery to me. Guys in the business like Alex are in big trouble when they do this. Especially with a yard full of purchased military vehicles for sale with the federal Bill of Sale forms that are supposed to be good for titling them. The do gooders that simply decided to change the rules need to be brought to the forefront and punished for their independant actions. I hope you can stop them. John
