Hi Guys,

Disassembled, cleaned and blasted the set of Kelly hubs I picked up and want to know what grease I should use when I reassemble them. I was thinking of using a high temp wheel bearing grease but I looked online on the 4X4 forums and just about everyone says not to use grease......only a light coat of gear oil. I'm curious to know what you guys think and what you recommend.

Thanks,
Bob

You will get whatever grease you packed the wheel bearings with in there anyway. I'd just pack it with the same. It needs some in there to protect from water. Gear oil in the upper works is what I lubed mine with, and grease down in the spline area. Mine works well. John
