I've gone through the Ablums and my head is spinning.... Need to know in what position do the REAR lifhting Shackles go? inside edge of Bumperettes or the outside of the Bumperrettes or the frame?

Thanks, Lyle

There are at least 5 manuals should have on your bench while working on your jeep.

TM 9-804 The early M38 Operator's Handbook
TM 9-8012 The later M38 Operator's Handbook
TM 1804A Engine & Clutch
TM 9-1804B Power Train, Body & Frame
ORD 9 SNL G740 M38 IPL (Illustrated Parts List)

Yes there is also a Canadian Operator's Handbook and a Canadian Parts manual.

Yes the 5 above are free for you to download and USE right here on our downloads page. The Canadian Operator's Manual can be found on line and both the early & late Canadian parts manuals can be purchased from Brian Asbury.

The answer to your last question is on page 44 & 45 in Paragraph 32 of TM 9-1804B.
