Hi all....
I know, sacrilege to be asking about a GPW on the M38 page!
However, I'm now working on a 1942 GPW and am trying to track down any cross-over part numbers for items I could pick up at a NAPA. Maybe it's a long shot....
We're working on the brakes and the mechanic helping me made a good point about checking the wheel bearings and repacking them while they're off for the brake work. Are the wheel bearing seals available at a NAPA? If so, what is their modern part number?
Normally I would have used Midwest Military or Army Jeep Parts but the question came up today and the jeep is going up on the lift tomorrow so was hoping to get those parts locally today or tomorrow.
Thanks for the help!
-Josh

PS: My '52 M38 is running great these days. Thanks for all the help!

Thanks!
Just so I'm clear, looking at the G503 posts it looks like the wheel bearing seal for the GPW/MB is the same as the M38. Did I read that correctly?
The CJ2A site also lists for NAPA: 46002 & 49447.
Is that correct for what I need?

Yes, both are ORD PN 500128 however the M38 ORD 9 1955 supersedes the 500128 to ORD# 8329731 which xrefs to 5330-505-6700 which in turn superseded to: NSN 5330-00-285-6378 See web site details: https://www.wbparts.com/rfq/5330-00-285-6378.html

However I do not see where the CJ folks came up with those 46002 & 49447 numbers? I see no official cross reference to them.

Try the later Spicer/Timkin # 17004.
