F134 Engine, took valve cover off to adjust intake valves, saw two rods wobbling a bit. Ordered two new ones, one from two different sources. The old ones are 1/8 inch in diameter, the new ones 3/16".
The worst bent one replaced perfectly but the other one (#1 cyl) is now rubbing the side due to its wider width. The old one came close to the edge when running but didn't rub. Any possible reason for a rod being off center in the hole? Should I just go back to the old one since it is only very slightly bent? This is all new to me so hoping some of you have seen this before! _________________ Lee Long

Rockers arms mis-aligned. This can be caused by very worn rocker bushings allowing the rocker arm to tilt. Excessive lifter bore wear can result in the lifter's shifting position having a compound effect here.
There are early WO# 648791 pushrods and later 804622 pushrods. I believe the increase in diameter was with the newer pushrod. _________________ Wes K
