|
|
I know the starter switches can accumulate carbon and burn if not cleaned periodically.
I have read through the electrical TM and just wanted to see if anyone had any more good tips before I take my starter out and clean the switch contacts.
I may write an article with photos to post up on the downloads section if I can get it back together properly. _________________ Ryan Miller

Early open nose Starter. I have an extra NOS switch somewhere.
Are they difficult to clean and get back together? _________________ Ryan Miller

I can't speak for the open nose switch but the switch for the close nose starter was not a problem.. _________________ keep 'em rollin'

Will find out next week after my monthly Army Reserves training weekend. Mine is not burned out so hopefully just a clean up.
Didn't yours short out last fall Rick? _________________ Ryan Miller
