Well I have been preparing my fleet of military vehicles for the up coming local Memorial Day parade the last few nights. And the other night I was getting each of them out to drive them over to my fuel tank to top them all of with fuel. And of coarse the last one out of the garage was my 53' M38a1. As I was backing it out I stalled it and when I went to re-start it, boom nothing. Completely dead in the water! After a little fiddling I quickly determined that I had no spark. Well it was getting late and I had other things to do, so I pushed it back into the garage for the night. The next night after dinner I head down to the garage to see what was up with the M38a1. So a couple of quick checks of things and then I jump in it and turned the power switch on, and noticed that none of the gauges moved. Double checked to make sure I had a good battery connection and moved my way to the power switch. Sure enough somehow when I stalled it and reached my big size 13's back up to hit the starter button, I must have hooked the power wire and pulled it from the back of the switch. A quick plug in and we were back in business. I then used a zip tie to tuck the wire up higher so that the chance of me catching it again is less. Anyway I'm glad it didn't turn into anything too time consuming to fix before the weekend. Now all 5 of my trucks will make Monday's parade. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
