I am looking for a pair of SC-C-48540 brackets to mount my mt-299 in my m38. I would prefer these over the wood blocks but may also consider a set of the wood blocks. |

An old disgruntled fellow on the G503 site once mentioned they came later and were used in lieu of the wood blocks. He did a couple of years in the Army working in transportation late 50's or early 60's.
Makes sense that the Army would have moved forward with stamped steel brackets and if you look at the dates on those drawings (1956) the Signal Corps just never updated them. _________________ Wes K
