I’m thinking about replacing the tool box in my M38. Does anyone have experience with aftermarket tool boxes? Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave, I moved your post from our Vendor's/Products quality page to here since you are not asking what someone thought of the quality a specific manufacturer's replacement tool box.

Repops invariably have fit problems. So it is best to find a OEM unit. Many CJ's will fit and need minor changes.

Classic Enterprises in WI sell replacement panels for the front and side of the tool box if that would help you repair yours
https://www.classicent.com/jeep/mb-cj2a-3a-3b-m38

I have used several of their replacement panels and have found them to fit very well.

I am watching the thread. I had to rip out the repop in mine because it did not fit right (installed poorly by the P.O.). It was too far forward and covered the floor panel bolt holes and the passenger seat did not interface with the fender well bracket.

I am also in need of a good military toolbox (lid and top brackets too).
