I am in need of some advice. I am installing the fuel lines on my M-38A1 and am using this type pf clip as per the SNL.

https://walcks4wd.com/brake-line-clip-frame-3-16.html

My problem is that every clip I have attempted to install has snapped in half and is no longer usable.

I attempt to snap the clip into the frame and it breaks, I have tried to snap it onto the fuel line and then into the frame and it snaps in half...

Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong.

I am using 5/16" clips for 5/16" fuel line...

Just a thought but if they are too brittle you could try annealing them.

I guess I could do that, if a Propane torch will do it... as I do not have anything hotter...

These clips are very brittle...

Hi, Hal. You might try boiling them on the stove just prior to installing them. Worth a try. Jim in darkest Arkansas. Merry Christmas!
