Didn't quite know where to put this as I am not selling anything. But was on ebay looking for something and a water proof distributor m38 etc style came up but it is 6 volt. Other than the cv35's what would have used such an animal and where do you get coils for it. The lister is in Rome Italy.

The 6V waterproof willys distributor was used on gensets for one. The 6V coils are out there as are 12V versions.

Yes the CJV35 used them, Gen sets that required waterproof 6V ignition used them and WWII radio jeeps were often upgraded to the waterproof Autolite instead of the metal shrouds use to seal them when they were built.

I guess that is what is good about this life, you learn something new everyday if you ask.
Thanks

To add to Wes's reply-----The CJV35 used a rather large Bendix Scintilla Distributor and the 6V Autolite Distributor look like the M-Series 24V Distributors only the 6V version usually had a red data plate with 6V stamped on it. I have two of the 6V Autolite Distributors and one has a Red data plate and the other Black. However, most of the ones I have seen have the Red data plate.

Here are the metal shrouds that Wes was referring to. Quite rare now.
