Hi Shug,
Not sure which heater you have, but instruction manuals are in the downloads section.
This one for the "Hot-Water Heater Kit" has pictures: http://willysmjeeps.com/downloads/TB_9-2855-43_heater.pdf

Figure 3 on page 8 shows the "fender splash shield".
I think most of us just call it the fender for short.

Pretty sure Wes has heater photos in his album too that may help. I didn't look.

When I see "Hot Water Heater" I always laugh and wonder why hot water needs a heater.... Laughing

Good luck!

Shrug,

May be too late as your original post was a week ago, but I just finished installing the hot water heater kit in my 53. Mine has the center grill attachment and the 2 support rods from the grill to the cowl. If you follow the directions exactly as described in the installation instructions, the heater out flow and the support rod (from cowl to grill) are at the same level and you can not hook up the heater hose. I did not figure this out until after I had already drilled the 5 holes in the fender, so dry fit every thing before you drill.

After all was done it was great having heat in the jeep, and that unit puts out a lot of heat.
