Hi All

Whats the difference between the M series topbow

I have 1 that it looks like they use as roll bar....

And before I try to fix it I need to know

If they are same
If not, what is different ?

I was told that is was from a M38 (but you never know)
Im going to use it on my CJ3B/M606

my biggest problem is the "foot" is bend 90deg. so I either need to try to fix it or make new ones.

Buying a new BOW is no option $350 -> $400 for a replica (MD Juan) in Sweden

The CJ3B/M606 used the civvy type top bows.

This M38 top and bow set can be adapted to the CJ3B

Niclas,
You have the M38 bows. The bottom can be heated and straightened. If necessary it can also be reinforced by welding a thin plate over it. Keep in mind that it must still fit in this bracket.

You will need the three brackets on each side of the jeep and you should be able to locate a nearby M38 to determine correct placement.

I Have the 3 brackets and I also have a template with the "exact" placements of them.

M38 is more rare than unicorns here in Sweden Rolling Eyes
This is the land of GPW/MB and CJ's Shocked
many of them with Volvo B20 engine and 36" monster mudders Sad

I got the brackets and a template from Beachwood together with the top.
It's M model of top made for my CJ3B in Winter style.

the bottom thing has expanded due to rust.
But it looks like it possible to heat it up and remove it from pipe
and replace it with one that are in better shape

I have asked around and Im hoping there is a topbow out there that have a good pair of that bottom things.

He said he will try to help me out.

Right now im looking for a used one to take the bottom part from
I'm affraid the shipping cost of a complete bow set is to high.

But if I fail there maybe I have to buy a new one and strip the lower part and get it shiped to me.

You could get some short tubing the correct ID and cut the old off and weld on a new piece hammering the end flat and drilling it.
