I know this is not a "Jeep" question, but need some information, I posted this also on the "G503 / 1/4 Ton Trailer" site...

I just got my landing leg pivot (Repro) from Bensinger's, now I need to know some hardware sizes...

I know the pivot bolt is 3/4"x16 however what is the length?

I think the bolts for the landing leg to pivot are 1/2" but do not know the thread count or length...

Once I get the sizes I can see about gettting the slotted nuts too...

Does any one know these sizes, please reply as these are the last bolts I need to figure out for my trailer to finish it this weekend...

Thanks in advance...

Hey, how come that illustration shows three holes in the pivot casting for the landing leg? Any Cdn trailers I have ever seen only had two holes. Are the US trailers different, or does the manual show a MBT part?

That manual and the 1972 version of that manual and the 1950 version of the maintenance manual for the M100 all show the MBT photo but it is well known that the M100 only gets two holes.

FWIW my 5/52 M100 has two position holes; up & down. Interesting coincidence, both my M38 & M100 are dated 5/52 on the plates. M100 still has original unit marking though there is some repaint "around" the markings.

I have a further question here:

Should the landing leg on an M-100 trailer be at an angle when in the down position? Should it not be 90 degrees to the ground or pretty close...

The reproduction casting I got from Bensinger's (an MD Juan product) has the leg leaning towards the back of the trailer, not straight up and down...

I want to be sure before I drill it out and fill the other holes in (it has three holes lie the MBT casting)...

Any help appreciated...

Thanks Wes, with the repro pivot it is 15 degrees to the rear, so I will need to see about drilling it out in the correct location and filling the other holes in... (it has hole for a MBT, so one of those will get filled and the original down hole...)

Helps alot...
