I see many complete Rzeppa axle, and inner and outer shaft parts being sold online. They are sometimes labeled as WWII MB/GPW parts, and sometimes as for the M38 and M38 A1.

The only physical difference I see is the spindle shaft end is threaded for a nut (Early Dana 25), or not. I also note that there are versions of Rzeppa axles for the Wagon and Truck that are a different length.

Are the components, other than the threaded spindle shafts, the same for other parts? For example, I see "WWII Rzeppa joint rebuild kits" advertised. Are these earlier parts kits compatible with the later Rzeppa joints used on the M38? Are all MB/M38 axles all 10 spline?

Any guidance, or pitfalls, here appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

The safest path to follow is the written gospel found in each model jeeps parts manual. Yes, it will eat up a bit of your clock researching the final answer to a certain kit you may wish to use but it beats doing the job twice.
