I am rebuilding my distributor on my 38. I have all the parts except for the Collar Rivet, part JJ on figure 153 in the TM. What is everyone using as a rivet?

Thanks for your input.

Note that JJ in Fig 153 calls it a collar rivet while the ORD 9 fig 06-7 calls it a PIN, Straight, Headless, Square ends, Cold-finished-steel 1/8" Dia. x 7/8" lgth.

I have disassemble many of them over the years and the pin used constantly changes. I have seen aluminum rivets, steel rivets, square end steel pin as described in the Ord 9 and even just a piece of 1/8" dia steel round stock cut to 7/8" length and finally even steel 1/8" dia roll pins. All seem to survive just fine.

Thank you Wes, I will see what I can rustle up. Looking like 1/8" round.

No Willys number listed in Ord 9 G740.

Ord # H001-0829596, Federal Stock # 011-2011, Ord # 112011

The FSN Brian offered is incomplete. It's class code is missing in the ORD 9's (all of them)

I have a 1959 edition of the Autolite Parts list for the IAU4006UT distributor showing a rivet instead of a pin. Autolite's PN is SW-213.
