Have been working on getting my M-38A1 working and taking a step back and taking a breath was what was needed, along with a bit of research in the manuals. "IT LIVES"... I went out this morning and found a fuel leak at the pump (cross threaded line), took some time and found TDC and set the crank to +5 BTDC and opened the Distributor. Was damp inside washed it out with brake cleaner (Great degreaser also) then more research and set the points, then using a volt/ohmmeter set the timing. Put it all back together and finally gave it a try. After a few tries and a bit of back firing and what not she caught hold and started running... I let it run for about 5 minutes and shut it down. NO OIL PRESSURE, need to prime the pump / Bad sender / Bad gauge. Went to auto parts store bought mechanical gauge, installed it started it up again and I have pressure (50 lbs) so problem appears to be bad gauge (Sender is new this last year).
So now to get the Serials stamped on the Data Plates and take it to get some insurance, then tags cleared up (She is registered as a Black Tag at present). I still need markings and a spare tire, but it will run for the parade. I do need to do a test run around the neighborhood to test tranny, and brakes... easy stuff after today...

Do not know how to post video here, but it is on the M38/M38A1 page on FB...
