I am getting ready to install my distributor and am wondering if there is a gasket that goes on the between the block and distributor? I am also missing the screw that attaches the distributor to the block. Does anyone know the size of the screw I need. I checked Ord 9 but can't seem to find it.

Thank you

From your ORD 9:

Item KK is your gasket
Items FF, EE, DD are the bolt, flat wash and lock washer that fasten the adjustment plate to the bottom of the distributor.

Go to page 142 in the ORD 9 and at the bottom of the page you will find that bolt and it's 2washers listed along with their size. The washers are at the very top of the next page 143.

Now ignore the indented items on 143 and proceed alphabetically down that page and on page 144 you will find the D's with the 3 Distributors used over the life of the M38 you will see that immediately after the 3rd distributor there begins an indented list of three items. A bolt, the bolt that superseded it and the bolts washer. This indented list are how the ORD 9 writer shows a unit's attaching parts. The rest should be simple since all dimensions are given except they are in the US inch system.
