1) should the fuel pump lever be up or down after installation?
2 a) What is the "lever style" arm out the back of the fuel pump. b) does it hook onto anything when inserted into the engine?
3) does my "fuel pump check valve" allow me to go deep water fording?

Thanks.

Been a day or two.

2. The lever on the back actuates the diaphragm and is what mechanically makes the pump “pump”. It is driven by a lobe on the cam.

3. The check valve has nothing to do with fording capability. It just keeps gas from draining back to the gas tank.
