Not mine, I've got no dog in the hunt.
Soo, is it legit?

There is a TB 9-2830-55 that allows the one piece glass to be replaced in the field when damage is only on one side by a adding a divider and cutting the remainder of the windshield to fit one side and cut a new piece for the other side. I believe the process was initiated in Europe where the glass was in short supply.

The divider strip looks a bit odd on that one for sale ad you posted:

back when I got my m38 (around 1990), it had a split windshield. the center post was very well made and formed to fit over the rubber seal at the top and bottom. I removed the glass and did a one piece windshield, but still have the center section as I thought is was to well made and possibly a gov. fix.
