Walking away with a gold medal award this weekend at the MVPA Nationals for the restoration on my 1953 Jeep M38a1 with the highest score in the Motorpool class with a score of 97.55 out of 100. Plus the people’s choice award. Thanks to the judges at the MVPA National Convention here in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

Congratulations Dave!
Well done!
My, those are some SUPER-sized photos you posted.
I had to pipe them into my 55-inch TV to see them without scrolling. _________________ Ron D.

You must have missed our site's down time while site maintenance was trying to get us back on line they noted we were using way too much band space. One cause was loading photos sized way over the 200K limit to posts. I took the liberty as a web site admin to reduce your 3.2 + M photos to less then 1M. As you can see you can always post the links to the giant photos for those looking for giant photos.

Thanks, Imgur changed they way the resize the pics (actually took the feature away) and I could not figure out how to reduce them without deleting them all and going back in and editing them in photoshop. _________________ Dave

Don't suppose they tell you what they docked points for do they?
They mail you the judging sheet after the show so you can see what they deducted for. I know a couple are little things like a couple of the hose clamps are modern worm gear clamps and the radiator cap was not the original style but a military replacement style one. _________________ Dave

I opened a photo album for you. It automatically reduces the size. If you try to load a photo that is excessively large it will decline. But once you have a photo loaded you have two size options when using the photo in a post.

Very nice, congratulations!
At first I thought it was Elvis.
There are nice photos on the web of him in Germany with M38A1s.
There is a really nice shot of him in the passenger seat of one reading a map with fellow soldiers from his Armored battalion scouting unit.
The Jeep is loaded for bear with lots of gear. It would make a great basis for a reproduction. _________________ 1955 M38A1 MD 82551
