What do you use to clean up and remove the tarnish from the data plate?? Do you scrub or use a chemical??

brass cleaner works well and if the paint is flaking or needs removed, paint remover (chemical type).

The letters are raised so after repainting you can gently sand (very fine grit sandpaper) the letters to make them stand out again.

Ryan: The black paint on my original brass data plates are pretty much gone making them hard to read. Is there a way to refinish/repaint them myself to make them more readable?

Thanks, Dennis.
