hi to all! i have just recieved the complete set of straps ordered from midwest. i am familiar with the windshield, axe & shovel straps but can anyone please tell me (or photos would be a great help) how to set-up:
1. 4 pcs top stow straps
2. 2 pcs gas can strap(with 10 sets of quick rivets & 10 sets of tubular rivets)
3. 2 pcs bow stowage straps

The 4 straps for the top mount under the footman loops on the rear wheel wells... the inner ones... There should be loops in the straps that the footman loops go thru... You have to take the footman loops off feed it thru the loop in the strap and then put the footman loop back on...
The 2 straps for the bow storage just feed thru the rear bow storage brackets thru the slot, then around the bows...
Sorry I do not know about the jerry can strap as I have a one piece strap on mine that came with it...

I appreciate the comment on the loop in the straps going
through the footman loops! I'd wondered what those were
for. Whilst re-doing those, I found two additional footman
loops (on our M38) just inboard of the bow thingies on
the rear of the tub. Are those for the bow retaining straps?
