I put new pads in the summer before last when I mounted the tub. By the time the OD gets here (spring) the body will be off (again!) So it's a bridge to cross in the future.
The clearance issue is all theoretical at the moment, new PTO will arrive next week but the OD, spring sometime.

From the initial build up and restor. there were things I wanted to do but couldn't at the time for one reason or another. Now it's time to go back an do those little things that I know about but nobody else would spot.

So with the body coming off it's time to finally fit this winch and OD. As I researched and read more and have more contact with others that have done similar stuff the clearance issue gets less. One source that has actually done this rates the clearance problem at 1/2 an inch, which should be fairly easy to fix without it showing.
Cheers,
Dave.
