CARTER YS CARBURETOR

Hi, I am restoring a 1954 M38 A1, I have a very good Carter YS carb ready to fit but it is missing one end plate that retains the diaphragm next to the float chamber, this is the one that faces forward when the carb is fitted to the manifold. Has anyone got one to sell or can suggest who to contact to obtain one. I have tried the usual dealers on Milweb and a number of sites in the US, they can all supply a rebuild kit but no plate. michael.scorer@ntlworld.com

Hello Mike,
Have you tried Midwest Military? The housing you need is for the metering rod diaphragm and is ORD # 7372518, Carter # 170-139 and Willys # 116906. It is the same part on both the YS950S and the YS637S carbs.
It is item AJ in the illustration below.
