My M38's e-brake cable is still in good shape and after a thorough degreasing and lube job, it's working fine.

There is one clamp on the rear end of the outer sheathing that mounts onto the transfer case crossmember. It looks like the other clamp that attaches to the top of the sheating is gone.

What does that clamp look like? How does it attach to the e-brake handle bracket?

Any specs on it that would allow a guy to piece together his own?

Thanks.

Answered my own question. I am glad I followed a key tenet of restoration. NEVER throw anything away.

I was missing a clamp and went through three boxes of spare parts that I have pulled from various Jeeps. Lo and behold, I find the clamp I was missing.

Clamp attached to the bracket that holds the e-brake handle.

Clamp attached to the transfer case on top of the t-case crossmember.
