Hi all

where/how should I mount the top bow hold down strap ?
Is it attached to a footman loop or the most rear bracket ?

I got the brackets and the strap from Beachwood canvas.

The jeep is a CJ3B/M606 and Im using parts for a M38

I have a M38, I'll take a stab at it:

Standing by the right rear corner (passenger side) looking forward.
There is a footman loop on top of the wheel tub (fender) real close to the right body side and lined up with the tall bracket bolted to the side. Take the strap and push it under the footman toward the outside of the body (from left to right), then pull it upward vertically over the side of the body then push it thru the bolted bracket from left to right. Now lay down your bows & take the strap over the top of the bolted bracket back toward the left, over the bows and into the clasp which should be over the fender and left of the footman. The bows should lay on the strap padding them from hitting the body.

I'm sure there's a picture out there somewhere.

Greg

Recently in this forum, it was mentioned that the
small loop on the strap is to put it on the footman
loop to prevent loss. I've done this to every strap,
including the hood hold-down, and haven't lost a
strap since. This is a wonderful forum and has
saved me mucho dinero.
