I'm rich now..... ?
this weekend I removed the botton pan on the transfercase to fix some oil leak.
I found some metal in the oil.
My guess its brass, but I dont know from what.
The Gearbox and Transfercase is untouched.
It works perfect and all the gears looks to be in good shape.
EDIT spelling

Niclas,
Check and make sure it is indeed not steel. Steel, when heated up, discolors first to a "goldish brown" then to a purple, depending on how much heat was pumped into it. See if a magnet attracts it at all. _________________ Bob Collins

I have thrown it away but it sure looked like gold in colour.
But will do the magnetic check next time.

I believe if my memory serves me right, there is a brass on steel thrust washer on one of the gears sets in the TC. They are also in the transmission. _________________ Tropical Veteran

Do a magnet check. As mentioned it is probably brass alloy from thrust washers.
When you refill, be sure the oil is "MT" compatible. There have been some threads on the G and other motorhead sites that 90w oils that are not compatible with MT have additives that erode the brass components.
Same for your T90 since it has thrust washers and brass blocking rings.

using a oil acording to specs in my orginal service book.
I haven't noticed and problems with the Tranfer or gearbox, so I just monitor it next time i change oil.
Ill try to find the magnetic versions of the drain plugs, need to change some of them anyway.
