Well, while I am waititng on a guy to hopefully help me out by sandblasting my frame so I can continue on with it, I am tearing into my front axle. (see my blog - URL in my signature below)
Of course, as I re-build it, I am going to need to purchase a few tools - namely torque wrench(es) and a dial indicator for now. I was hoping to get some recommendations from the collective wisdom of the members here on brands and a good places to buy.
- I am not afraid to purchase on line.
- I am not hung up on name brands, but will buy a name brand if it is what I need.
- I DO want quality, however, I am not going to be running a shop, just rebuilding this jeep and maybe another vehicle or two down the road. I am doing as much as possible myself on the axles, x-fer, tranny, engine, etc.
Eventually, I will need other tools as well.
Looking for Advice and Recommendations on:
- Torque wrenches
- Dial Indicator (and stand)
- Micrometers
- Calipers _________________ Troy Davis

Dail indicators and other precision tools, I personally would buy,USA made if I could afford it, I cant just for the record. I bought mine made in Japan and have no complaints. My first one was made in China and was garbage from square one. The torque wrench I bought was a craftsman and Ive never had any complaints. Hope it helps Bucky
