Hey,

I made it home a few days ago. It is good to be back. So much has changed since I left and my wife had the twins. It has turned life upside down!

The twins are almost a year old and are close to walking on their own.

I am glad to be back home. Smile

Wonderful to see you backsafe and in one bit. Take some time to relax. Enjoy the family, but hey, you don't need me to tell you that.
All the best,
Dave.

Welcome home Ryan - thanks for your sevice!

Where in A-Stan were you stationed? I paid a short visit to the country (Kabul - Camp Eggers and Camp Phoenix - , Bagram, Jalabad and FOBs Blessing and Salerno) in early December '07 on the Sergeant Major of the Army's USO Tour (with Daryl Worley, Keni Thomas, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and LeeAnn Tweeden). Primitive place indeed, but the Hindu Kush Mtns were beautiful...

I met some amazing men and women on the tour in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan - perhaps our paths crossed and we didn't even know it.

Glad you home and thanks again!

Thanks Guys,

I am adjusting everyday. My wife knows all the boys likes and dislikes so she makes it look easy, but I am learning fast.

Tony,

I was stationed in Kabul at Camp Phoenix, but I traveled 3 - 4 weeks a month. I missed the Cowboys cheerleaders and you, but I did get to ride in a C-130 with Robin Williams, Kid Rock and Lance Armstrong on one of my trips to KAF (Kandahar).

So close Ryan, wow, small world. Robin Williams and Kid Rock were a couple days ahead of us, if memory serves me. In fact I believe that they, or members of the Joint Chiefs (depends on who's story you believe), scammed our billets at Phoenix, forcing us to stay at Eggers. The folks at Eggers weren't expecting us so it was kinda comical when we arrived at midnight.

Once you get settled send me a PM as I'd like to talk or email you about your time in Afghanistan, perhaps trade photos, etc...

Thanks again for your service!

Belated congrats on returning home. I'm heading over this time next year but hope to have my M38 done and on the road well before then. At least the major stuff.
