Aparantly nobody knows what size they are.
I have figgured that they seem to be 5/16 x 24 by 3/4inch long, however these seem to be impossible to find with phillips heads, I was able to find Allen heads, so if I am ever able to find the correct Phillips screws I will replace the Allen heads.

SCREW, mach, special, cross recess-spiral-ribbed-flathd,
S, cd- or zn-pltd, 5/16-24NF-3 x 3/4

This is the correct one for the Hinge to cowl...

You might find it in Mcmaster and Carr or a spcialty place...

These were very hard to find in good condition when several years ago when I assembled my M38A1...They definitally could not be found in hardware stores - I don't even think McMaster had them. Currently, I just have cap screws in there with a washer.

When I restored my jeep, AJP, John, nor anyone had them. If John has them, by all means buy them. They are very hard to find.

He did not have the windscreen hinges nor the screws when I tried to order them a little while back. I have some take off hinges lined up from a club memeber that Im going to swap a PRC10 power supply cable for.
they are the only part I am missing from my resto.
I tossed my original body since it was a rust bucket, the hinges were so crusty a torch wouldnt loosen up the screws so I let them go with the body, they really werent worth reusing, the face of one of them was litterally half rusted away.
As for the screws, I have gone to the specialty hardware shops that are known for having "it" and the high price, and all I could get were flat Allen head screws.
