I have 1952 M38 CDN willys and am looking for frame #
it should be top side drivers front but some one welded angle on top and all I could
get was 52-3 , I know there should be three more # is the any other place it might be stamped

The only place they were stamped was between the Bumper and Radiator on the driver's side fork...

Maybe painted on the side of the body or hood depending on the unit it was assigned to... this means lots of wet hand sanding with 400 grit...

Was not placed anywhere else to my knowledge...

Do you have a serial number on the dash plates, you can get close if you have that...

Hi my M38CDN had steel welded on top of the CAR number also. I used a dremel cutting wheel (actually quite a few) to cut the welds and remove the metal the number was underneath and luckily not damaged.
