Subject: M series spark plug wires (waterproof)
Status: NOS only
Sold By: Army Jeep Parts, Peter Debella
Review:
Shape/ Appearance:
Shape is similar to the OEM for the M38. These have rubber sleeves that cover most of the wire and are movable. OEM wires had molded rubber the entire length of the braided portion.
Fit/Function:
These wires are all the same length and were intended as a general replacement for M series vehicles. The OEM wires were different lengths to reach each plug.
Overall:
Good replacement spark plug wires. It would be nice to get reproductions that are exact to OEM (lengths and molded rubber covering).
Rating: 8.5 (1- 10, 10 highest) _________________ Ryan Miller

AJP and MWM are the ONLY companies selling the correct length wires with the double 90's. We are using the OE mfg'r to make our wires. AJP wires are not NOS. Pete's wires are NOS, but do not have the different lengths that they should have.

The M38 #1 wire is 23 3/4" overall (includes connectors & nipples) and the #2, 3, & 4 wires are 19 3/4" (includes connectors & nipples) .
The M38A1 has all four cables at 29 5/8" plus the length of the connectors and nipples.
Having reviewed all the manual illustrations every view of the wire ends showed the rubber sleeve all the way to the connector's rear ferrule at each end with no metal shielded conduit showing.
Here are a few views of an NOS Nov 1953 Willys RMCXXXXXX factory replacement engine.
So, is Peter's set of plugs a correct "replacement" set? @ $100 vs. $165, I would be happy knowing that the plugs are at least a proper replacement set. I noticed that there is only a 90 at one end of Peter's plugs.

Single 90 wires are a late replacement set and are not correct for restoration purposes. Additionally, his wires are not the correct length either. The ones you show from ASW are not correct and will cause you issues in fitting them properly.
