Can someone give me the procedure for installing the new seal and glass in my M38 windshield? Rubber on glass first? Rubber on frame first?
The rubber was not formed for the corners, it that right? Help please.

Yes they did, but he said he would have put in it even if he didnt. funny thing about the glass place I used. I had a cj3a back in high school, I borke the windshield in it and took it to him to replace. when i brought up the m38 I didnt have the old piece so he went up stairs to see if he had an old one to use as a copy, he happened to bring down the old glass from my cj3a.

Assuming the windshield frame is folded down to the hood. Take a hand spray bottle and fill with a soap and water solution, it will be used to help keep the seal slippery. Spray the glass edge groove in the rubber seal with the soapy water and place the rubber seal on the glass with slot for lock bead facing up or aft. Lay glass with rubber with front side down towards hood on frame. Spray the rubber seal's frame groove with the soapy water. Using a sutable tool work the lower edge of the rubber seal onto the frame. When it is all the way on the frame you then spray the groove for the lock bead and press the lock bead into the groove. That's all there is to it.
