Hello all
Time for my spring project on the JEEP, a rear seat
Jeep CJ3B/M606
I was thinking of installing a M38/M38A1 rear seat I like the folding feature
So my big questiones are do it fitt in a 3B tub
And what do I need ?
Better to ask before i start to by thing that dont fit......
And if someone could take a Pic with the seat mounting and messurements
But I guess Wes already have it
Best Regards

The civvy rear seat had legs and mounted to the floor. The M38/M38A1 shared the same folding seat. It has no legs. There are 4 parts welded and bolted to each wheel house that support the seat. The military seat is 35" wide and the wheel houses are 36" apart.
You'll need these parts from Midwest military.
I'm still looking but I know I have a drawing of this with measurements somewhere.

Hi all
Now to the next step
If im not totaly wrong the M38 have a tailgate like my 3B (M606)
do I need to reinforce it with someting ?
I think I have seen that the M38A1 have a sqare pipe across the tailgate !?
I have spare wheel (M38/A1 style) & can holder on the tailgate
And now the rear mounting thing that hold the backrest
I getting worried that the poor tailgate will give up on me...

I have similar reinforments, but mine is more like bars and not going all the way up/down.
I thoght it was more like along the top of the tailgate.
