From the end of WWII until 1955 Willys shipped all Military jeeps with OD 2430. The switch to OD 24087 occurred in 1955 and the Army started field painting with OD 24087 around 1954. 2430 was the lighter and more Green/gray shade and 24087 was the darker more brownish shade. 24087 is listed by most MV dealers and is readily available. 2430 hasn't been available since the 80's. The closest match is Gillespie's 23070 or Army jeep Parts "Late WWII OD".

Buy some spray cans while you are at it. Last time I tried to buy some, Army Jeep Parts was out and could not tell me when they would have more. I am on my second case of Spray cans. I bought the second case from Rapco. Both cases were the same brand.

Thanks Wes and CWD, I will try to cross reference these code numbers in the UK.
Mike.
