SOLD.. Thanks! (8/22/09)

I'm having to sell my M416 U.S. Army 1/4 ton trailer. It was made by Anthony, delivery date 4-64, S/N 351. The main data plate on the upper right on the rear of the cargo box is faded but still readable. The agency plate is faded out, but with a magnifier and a light held just right you can just make out "U S Army". There is no chassis plate on the frame. I have owner this trailer for four years, during which it has always been stored inside and dry. I did not use it, but had always intended to restore it to pull behind my M38A1. Wisconsin does not require a title for small trailers, so I don't have one, but I will provide a detailed bill-of-sale.

This trailer is in solid, unaltered condition with faded and peeling paint and surface rust. Both tires are the military-type NDCC, and they are in very good condition with no checks or cracks, and about 50% tread remaining. The wheel bearings have been greased and rotate freely. The chains in photo #5 are NOS correct military issue for this trailer, and I have now installed them. The trailer has its original intervehicular cable, but the rubber coating on the plug is dried and cracked, so I am including a NOS correct military issue M416 replacement cable, as seen is photo #5. I have never tested the lights, but the chassis wiring and both rear lights are present and appear to be good.

This trailer is in far northwest Wisconsin, near Duluth. I am hoping for a buyer who would be able to pick up this trailer at my location. It would tow well but you might want to consider some temporary lights if you were going to be travelling very far. I would be glad to answer any questions. I am asking $400.00. The links will take you to pictures.
