This may be a dumb question but should I even consider using the old fuel line that runs from the pump, round the front, up the passenger side? If yes what should I do to clean it out well.

Steel tubing that shows no sign of corrosion, has good flares and shows no cracks should work just fine for you. Just soak for a day or two in a good solvent and flush with gas.

Thanks again Wes.

The tubing looks good to me but I wanted to double check with the folks here. I think one of the fittings is rounded but I'm assuming you can install a new fitting and re-flare it?

As long as you do not make the tube too short. The flares should rest snugly against the nipple cones on the pump and the carb without pulling them towards the nipples. If you install the line to short and use the fitting nut to pull the flare up against the nipple this stresses the flare and leads to cracking and ultimate failure of the flare.
