Happy New Year fellow M38 owners? The clock rolled over and your toy is worth more than last year! Not much else goes up in value as it gets older.
I need one M38 sheilded ignition wire. #1 wire would be best, need not be good internally, just a good shell. I found 5mm wire on the internet and will rebuild it. My #1 has a straight connector on the plug end, need the 90 degree end.
Please contact by pm or grisbobsue@juno.com

I am not sure of the length--maybe somebody out ther can give us the length--it should be one of the longer ones.
I got the wire from
http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/24-8776.html?id=p4YmRycr
If you have had a wire apart you find that the end of the wire has a "squeezed on threaded rod" that the transmission spring is attached to. I was not able to find those so I did this. I ran a very small screw threw the connector spring up into the "square cut" wire itself. It cannot be seen and we used this type of connection on aircraft wires years ago.
My rebuilt wires work great, I just need a correct wire for #1 to look orginal.

On the M38 both ends of the ignition leads are 90 deg.

#1 lead is 23 3/4"

#2, 3 & 4 are all the same length 19 3/4"
