I purchased this jeep as a project for myself and my 17 year old son. and what a project it's going to be !! The floors are gone , the tub is rough, the wiring is hacked up, but it runs and drives and that is a good enough start for us !

Great father/son project! My son and I started the same way. Now my vehicles set outside and my garage is full of his jeep projects
BTW: Does the gas cap say "Heiniken Only"? I think Wes recommends 89 octane and a dash of aviation gas for flavor. |

Yes , the gas cap say's Heiniken , and the battery box say's Brew's, I guess somebody wanted this jeep to be the backwoods party wagon . Maybe that explains some of the dents. _________________ 1952 m38a1,1967 cj 5 |

Good afternoon guy's, I added some pic's of the engine and suspension. Not the best pics, the camera went snow blind here in the miami of the north. But you can still make out some detail. _________________ 1952 m38a1,1967 cj 5 |

The Warn overdrive was a surprise ! we had to travel about 6 hours just to go look at the jeep. When we got there I saw 4 new tires, 4new rims, a new starter, a new best top and doors and the warn overdrive, which the PO thought was original factory equipment. So we decided that if if the engine runs , we would take it . I gave the guy $ 400 bucks , and we started the 8 hour ride home. _________________ 1952 m38a1,1967 cj 5 |

400 !!!!!
thats the price of the overdrive used. congrats!!
that should help quell the agony of an expensive renov should you decide that route.
at least you can afford a couple more green bottles in the process. |

Oh yeah, we thrilled with the price! We are in the process of taking the front end and tub off. We are going to do a total rebuild on the body and electrical system. sandblast and paint the frame and suspension. Then as the budget allows, we will rebuild the drive train. We are thinking of pulling the 8cyl out and going back to an original 4 banger. _________________ 1952 m38a1,1967 cj 5 |
