Who can tell me what the direction is of the distributor seen from above ??.

I am working on such a standard 24 volt distributor and try to rebuild it to a "pointless" version making use of a SWISS Type Mutt series baseplate.
I made also use of the information supplied by Erik Maes but it was not all clear for me.

If I rotate the distributor to the left (= counterclockwise and seen from above the rotor), then I get very nice sparks.
But if I rotate it to the right ( so, clockwise) then nothing happens.

On the internet I found that the M38A1 distributor has a counterclockwise rotation but I can not find from where this must be seen. (from above or from under). I can't check on my engine because it is in storage.

So my question iws: in what direction must the rotor turn for a F134 engine??

Thanks for a little bit of help.

Hi Jos,
Distributor rotation is given as you look down on the distributor from above or from where the cap is.
