I am selling a 1955 M38A1 that I bought in January. Photos , although not very good ones, can be seen in "New guy in western NC with M38A1". The engine will not turn. I have the head off and the cylinders look fine, and have no ridge at the top. It has a Kelly hard cab with roll-up windows in the doors. The military lights are still in place , with extra turn signals added. It still has the 24v parts intact , except for the starter, which I replaced with a 12 volt so I could try to turn the engine with a single battery. The 24v starter is included. It has some rust in the front floors and rh rocker panel.A tailgate has been added in the past , and it looks factory, not a Bubba mod. There is a rear seat in it that I suspect is a CJ5 seat. It fits, but the upholstery looks newer than 1955 to me. The right front fender has the front half cut off. The front clip is off to allow access to the engine.I am also advertising it locally. I have a clear NC title. I'm asking $500.00 OBO. Thanks. Call me after 6PM @ 828-728-9400 thanks.
