Is that a grommet in the firewall that the cable runs through? I had someone tell me there is no grommet there but that doesn't seem right. I think in time the metal housing on the cable would rub through on the edge of the firewall.
This is a great post I hope to have my p.brake functional in the next few days. I wish the underneath of my M38 was as clean as those pictures. I scraped another 10# of goop and one walnut sized rock from under her this weekend. |

While we are on this subject, why did Willys use a driveline parking brake as opposed to what most other vehicles had which was a cable that hooked to the regular rear wheel brakes. Wouldn't it have been simpler? _________________ Huntin'-Trappin-Fishin'-Jeep fixin' that's all I do.
