Guys,
Here is a photo of the Rotisserie I made for the jeep back in July. I made it so that adjustments can be made for other, larger vehicles. I have another 1967 Mustang Fastback project planned after the M38 is finished (if ever ).
I felt it would be a good challenge (which it was) and not having one on this project was frustrating at times.
I could have bought one new, but for some reason I felt some improvements could be made for what I needed. This set up almost completely tears down and will fit into a small space for storage.
Jeff inspired me to try one myself after looking at his website.
I ended up attaching the tub to 2 cross beams that attatch to points where the tub would normally attach to the frame. This gave it a lot more stability than other places I looked at.
Thanks!

Hi Ryan, what a heck of a great job; sure wished I had of had one as I think it would have save a lot of time and provided for a better job. Looks as if you used two engine mounts?? What do you estimate your total outlay not counting labor? Great Job and thanks for sharing with the guys. SF Ben _________________ Semper Fi Ben M38 & M100 |

Ben,
I think I have about $350 in the whole set up. I used two engine mounts mostly for the part that spins. Most of it is 1/4" X 2" square tubing. More difficult to cut than the thinner stuff and heavier, but very sturdy and I plan to use it on a larger vehicle down the road. _________________ Ryan Miller

Ryan
My mission in life is complete !!!!
If I can inspire only one person that ain't bad!!!
Thanks for the plug, but yours looks better. It looks like you can adjust the center of gravity by moving the arms on the pivot point. Is that right? Does it pivot easily?
I may have to modify mine now.

Thanks Jeff!
Yes I have two adjustment points for the pivot area and I can adjust the body/arm attachment points by sliding the bracket on the arm and then tightening a bolt to keep it in place. I can rotate it with one hand.
I really like your website and your project seems to be coming along nicely. _________________ Ryan Miller

Ryan, I understand you might be overseas?
Is there any chance you might have a sketch and/or dimensions on this thing - it looks awesome! How's it working for you? |
