The Grand Kids

The 11 yr old driving around on 5 acres in low range. They had a blast.

Great photo, Ken. The look of concentration on the driver, the smile on the standing passenger, the flags waving in the breeze, and the garrison caps all combine to make it a classic. Maybe someday in the future those girls will be using the jeep for their wedding "limo".

Tooling around the property in low gear is a great way to learn the basics of driving. Mine was in the west pasture in a '53 Ford pickup in granny low with the choke pulled out just far enough to open the throttle a bit while my dad dropped fence posts off the back. Later, when my legs got a little longer, I could actually reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel at the same time!

We must leave good memories. And it got them out of the house so MeMe could get some rest.
