For Sale - 1953 M 38 A1, SN 44954. This jeep was purchased from an Oregon State Experiment Station by a Medford, OR pear farmer. After the purchase, the jeep was "restored and painted" (not a military color). The Farmer used the jeep on his farm for some time and was diagnosed with cancer. The farmer contacted the individual who restored and painted the jeep and that individual bought the jeep. The individual drove the jeep from Medford to his parents house in the Applegate Valley and parked it in their barn in 1997. It stayed in the barn until it was purchased by by me last year.

I have replaced the tires, changed fluids, filters, had the gas tank boiled out, put on new wheel and master cylinders, new center tie rod, new civilian fuel pump, new brake lines, rebuilt the steering knuckles, replaced the u joints, replace the radiator hoses, water pump, thermostat, new plugs and some other stuff I can't stuff I can't recall at the moment. Lower inside windshield panel is wavy.

The jeep is still 24 volt, the carb has been changed by previous owner, as well as the distributor, coil and spark plug wires. The distributor and coil are pulling 12 volts from one battery and a separate push pull ignition switch is used as well as the 24 volt master switch. All lights are 24 volts. Have wiper arms, but no blades. Jeeps runs and drive well. Additional photos can be viewed at http://www.surfacezero.com/g503/showphoto.php?photo=115577&title=img-25252&cat=2824
